to stripe or not to stripe

to stripe or not to stripe
hey guys
Could do with an opinion or two
Apologies if in the wrong section, not exactly technical..
Making some slight visual tweaks to my 996, and generally love it but just one or two things to make it perfect.
Here's what she looks like now:
But I can't get rid of the idea that some offset stripes would go well with the colour and just set it off nicely. Excuse the poor ms paint job but I was thinking something like this:
running over the spoiler, front to back. What do we think? Cheesy or looks the part? I can't decide! Never usually a fan of stripes and like the clean look but I think because I'm usually a fan of black cars it usually wouldn't go, whereas a bright colour seems to led itself a little to it.
Was also toying with the idea of white alloys of some description but I do like the gemballa / speedlines so probably won't change them

Re the stripes, regardless what the rest of us think, do whatever will please you. But if they're not removable when the time comes to sell the car - I know, you're going to take it with you to the grave - any such non-removable mods could seriously limit the number of possible buyers.

I think the car looks great as it is. Your aerokit adds enough pizzazz.
If you want to add stripes, personally I think Porsche side stripes like on my Cayman, or a centered stripe down the middle (fat center stripe flanked by two thin stripes) would look better than the offset one.
Definitely use vinyl so you can remove them if you change your mind later.

Will be in vinyl for sure so I can remove them when/if I shop her in (although ideally I want to keep her alongside the replacement, still a year off though so we'll see)

love the cayman, first time I've seen one in yellow now I think about it
I thought it lost a bit of top end with stripes but quicker off the mark?

If you want to improve the appearance go with one of the dozen options (covers, tint, vinyl) that make our headlights resemble that of a 911.
It's extremely controversial on this site but there's a reason you won't find anything in the market that will make 911 headlights look like 996 lights.
At least after five years Porsche went back to 911 lights and haven't look back since. Hopefully they never will.
