Throttle surge at +/- 3700 rpm
Still in the getting-to-know-each-other phase with my 996, and it has a very strange quirk...
In 1st gear, when the engine hits 3700-3800 RPM, I get what I can only describe as a short throttle surge. It's as if I blipped the accelerator, but I didn't...I accelerate steadily and it just surges on its own. Happens every time, consistently. Engine starts and runs great otherwise.
Any of you 996 detectives have an idea what would cause this?
FYI...2003 996 C2 Coupe, 82K miles, PSE exhaust, car is stock with no mods.
