Thank you once again i also replaced the ignition and now the car runs alot smoother and i havnt gotten a cel for missfire cyl #2. Could replacing the ignition have something to do with that?

Q: I kind of like the car being able to start with out using the clutch if I leave it the way it is, would that harm the car in anyway or is it better just to get the part and fix it?.

It's unlikely the new ignition switch affects cyl#2 mifires.

Bypassing the clutch switch is fine but it's a safety feature to prevent you from accidentally cranking the engine while the car is still in gear and clutch not pressed, which may hurt the starter and the car if it hits something.

Cool and thank you for all the help, but before I change the ignition (tumbler) I was getting cel 0302 all the time like once a day or sometimes seeral times a day. luckily I have a Cel code reader and eraser.. lol so i was able to reset it. but since I put the new ignition (tumbler) and by-passed the clutch I have not gotten a cell for misfire cyl #2... in several days now and its actually idling a lot better
