I am new here so forgive me if this has been covered before, I searched and could not find anything...
I am finding the drivers seat of my 2003 996 C2 to be very uncomfortable. The seat back has a crown in it that hits right in the middle of my back, with my lower and upper back not even touching the seat. Neither of my front seats have the lumbar support adjusting button - there is a black plastic plug there instead (see photo).
Has anyone else had the same issue and figured out a way to make the seats more comfortable?
(BTW - I am an average size adult male - 5'-10", 190 lbs.)

My 2002 seatback with 118,000 miles is still comfortable. How many miles on your car? You may want to just replace the seat or have the foam replaced. There are SO MANY 996 seats for sale. You could rebuild one yourself first then do the switch.

I'm not sure if you're saying that your seat lacks lumbar support or have too much of lumbar support.
If it lacks lumbar support, you can always get an aftermarket bladder or just roll a hand towel and stuff it behind the seat cover. The back seat cover literally just pulls out enough to get something back there.
I've done both and now just use a rolled up towel so I don't have to worry about occasionally inflating it.

If you find it has too much, you should lift up the back cover and check to make sure PO didn't put anything back there.

Thanks Alpine003...I checked behind the seat cover and found nothing stuffed in there. I bought a lumbar pad thingamajigger from Amazon, will see if that works.

Place extra padding in the bottom of the seat pan. this flattens the seat. Added extra pad behind back to comfort. Pre 2002 996 don't have seat pan. 2001 911tt I added wood slats ... worked great... see pic.
