If your going to list a salvage title car, try not to show it just as the flood breaks

That's quite a price for a salvage title car.

I have almost the exact same vehicle and three years ago looked to trade it in on a Turbo. Granted things may have changed since then but I was offered $9k. Yes trade-in values aren't retail but still my point is I think it's wishful thinking.

If he gets that price though, that's good news for all of us!

Flooded Salvage Title cars -been there, done that -never again! The electronic issues just never end. All depends how deep the water was. They always say 'never even reached the seats. Then you discover the glove box is still full of muddy water.

A few years ago, I looked at a 612 Scaglietti with "light flood damage" and when I observed closely, the speakers on top of the dash had rust from the salt water. I spoke to one of the guys at the time and he said flood damage cars especially those from Florida have a lot of salt that stays behind eating things away after the water has dried up.

It doesn't say anything about the running condition of the car.

Cheap case = need new immobilizer and keys programmed, along with new carpet.

Worse case = motor is hydrolocked and need new one.

It's still way too high for that car though.
