Default 2003 911 315hp not 320hp?
Why when I read car magazine reviews on the 996 they state that the 03 model was marketed as having 315hp and not 320hp like the 02 model?

You have 315 HP and 320 "PS" which is the metric conversion of HP. 1 PS = .986 HP.
