Default Escape 2015

Took my '99 996 on trip earlier this month to the PCA Escape in South Dakota. 9 days, 3600 miles, no problems! Car was great on the interstate and even better on the backroads.

Route

Twin Falls, ID for the sunset and moonrise

Craters of the Moon NP

Grand Teton NP

Perfect fall colors

Yellowstone NP, Old Faithful, and a Bison

Devil's Tower

Rushmore

Perfection

Sunset

Not ideal driving conditions

Big Horn Sheep at Badlands

No high speed runs at the Salt (lake) Flats

And lots more photos here

Now, start planning your trip!

Nice photos vitaminC.

I have several very similar photos from our trip to, and during, Escape 2015 including this one.

And another spectacular sunset shot (minus the cars though)

Since you're from the Bay Area, I guess you are not the guy from San Diego who insisted he drove the longest distance to Escape. (with apologies to the RL community as you had to be there to understand what this is all about).

It was a great time despite the weather, especially Saturday.

Maybe they should score it like PAX, with a multiplier based on the age and comfort level of your car!

Yeah, even with the wet weather, it was still a great event.

Wow! Some seriously great photography! That sunset shot with the p cars is gorgeous. I dig the fog picture too. Glad you enjoyed the trip and the car performed well.

lol, you haven't driven your car that far since you've had it, and you get to fly whereever you want.
