Question Idea's on removing seat warning stickers

I noticed those butt ugly green warning stickers not to stick passengers in the back of the GT3..Duhhh? Anyone have any idea's how to remove the stickers from the seat backs??? I tried to peel up an edge to pull the sticker off, but it just breaks away. Some safety sticker thing to discourage removal. They have got to go. Help Please???

Yeah, tell me about it. I tried to remove them and experienced the same annoying thing. In fact, the pieces break off in little, sharp shards that jam you underneath your fingernails (most annoying). Perhaps a bit of heat will help. By the way, would you believe that those hideous stickers are actually quite reflective? People have commented to me that they glow from their headlights.

There was a post on funcarsonline that a small steamer (I assume one of those portable gadgets for steaming clothes while raveling) worked well to loosen up the stickers.

Yes, the guy used a hair dryer and a credit card. (for some reason mine didn't have these stickers).

Here is another thing you can try. I took my off of my BMW by doing the following.

1. use wide masking tape and tape off the surrounding area.
2. use goo-off that you can by at home depot wipe it directly on the sticker.
3. wait a little bit till the sticker absorbs the stuff
4. peel it off.

I hav'nt try this on my Porsche but I would suspect that it'll work too.
If you want to be the guinepig, let us know how it works out.

I thought about the whole Goo-Gone thing but these stickers have a reflective, almost plastic-like coating that is probably too hard for the Goo-Gone to penetrate.

After peeling them off with heat and a credit card, use 3M Adhesive Remover to easily take off any sticky residue.

What if you've got full leather? Will the chemicals damage the leather?

The original question was for a GT3 which is delivered with sport seats. The sport seats have plastic seat backs, so there is no issue. I don't know if the 3M adhesive remover will damage leather or not, I'd suggest trying it on an inconspicous spot first. In any event, you won't get the warning stickers on the seat backs of a regular 911 or TT, because they all have rear seats and therefore don't need a warning sticker.

Mineral spirits and Q tips. If the label has coated paper on the sign, start at one of the upper edges (let gravity help). Pick off a piece and dampen with wetted Q tip, pull label as you wet (you cut the gum glue) When removed wipe bal of glue off with paper towel wetted with Min spirits & dry.

Apply leather conditioner when finished.

Better late than never...

I was the one that used the portable steamer and a CC for the sticker removal. I am sure a hair dryer would also work. I was leery of using chemicals as I was scared of damage to the finish on the back of the seat.
