Jake has a strong personality. Some people get it and accept it and others don't. How much comes from being a Marine vs being a requirement to be a Marine is beyond me, but all the ex-Marines I know are just as hard nosed when it comes to defending themselves.

The guy with the dead motor was an *** to make an irate call to someone that had zero to do with the situation and then compound it by running to the Net to bitch about how someone that shouldn't be helping is not helping (oh my god! the horror!).

From that I perfectly get Jake taking personal offense at someone impugning the reputation of his business (and himself) and it's integrity.

Unfortunately situations like this just don't end well as his detractors will not let him be and he can't just walk away (it's not in a Marine's DNA).

People like Jake are survivors. I bet he has to force himself to be nice to and tolerate most people's ignorance instead of answering them with a 32MM combination wrench over the skull.
