Could be. Wonder how the pulley became that loose on the shaft?

Anyhow, I hope the OP flat beds the car in rather than drive it in. My Boxster's water pump was just grumbling and I flat bedded it 25 miles to the nearest dealer. Cost me $125 I think. Worth it.

Not as bad as the bill for having my Turbo flat bedded from Ely NV to Livermore CA back in 2009. I paid around $1750 for that. 540 miles or thereabouts.

Heres a lottery ticket and my old water pump. I caught it before disaster because I asked for help and you guys gave good advice. Thanks again!

Got the water pump changed and the thermostat.

*yes* i towed it. But come on... theres probly a few hundred miles left on that pump! Anyone need a spare
