I finally had an opportunity to do a couple of projects. First is the installation of Carbon Fiber door pulls and map pocket lids. A rather easy project that didn't require and shedding of blood. I'm very pleased with the fit and finish and makes a nice upgrade to the grey interior.
The second project was the installation of the Yatour Bluetooth system recommended by Paul Waterloo. I located the mic next to the overhead center console. I also ran a headphone jack as well as a USB phone charger of the Yatour unit into the center bin. My phone is now connected by Bluetooth with options for another phone connection to the mic jack. I can also plug the phone in and charge it.
They do have CF pieces for the dash, but they ain't cheap. Oddly, mine came with CF dash and aluminum door pieces. Not terrible, but not what I would have chosen.
You are correct, they are not CHEAP. I was lucky to find these from a Rennlister at a reasonable price. My goal is to also do the stereo surround, the gear shift (may do alacantra for the gearshift) and the center console.
LOVE the Bluetooth. The sound is very clear and I am told the phone calls are very clear on the other end. I ran the mic all the way to the center overhead console which seems to work good.
I had to take it to a local radio shop to get the head unit out. Cost a few bucks but it was better than me digging around and damaging something. The spring clip on the one side is bent and won't engage the key. I tried to bend it back, but bending a spring just doesn't work.
