Default CR-210 upgrade to CR-220 or CDR-220

My 99 has a CR-210. I'm thinking of upgrading to the CR-220 or CDR-220. Anybody have any suggestions about doing/not doing this? I plan on hooking up the Phatbox to it.

How tough is it to replace the CR-210 with a CR-220 or CDR-220?

Anyone have a CR-220 kicking around they want to sell me?

Others have swaped a 220 in place of a 210. The 210 slides into a metal bracket. This bracket is removed and the 220 slides in without a bracket. The plastic insulator on the radio for the alarm is in a different location, so most people disconnect the wire to the alarm contact and cover it with tape you you do not get a beep when setting the alarm.

Question

Does anyone know if a different wiring harness is needed to go from CDR-210 to CDR-220? I also have a 210 and was thinking of upgrading.

Thanks!
Sean

It's basically the same harness. I did nothing but plug the 220 in where the 210 use to be and everything works fine.

I have a CDR 220 that I replaced with an Alpine head unit. PM me with a fair price.
