Default Blue Ridge Parkway

Saturday I needed to get away from everything, the temperature was cool and the skies were Carolina Blue, so I took a left turn in Mt Airy NC at the Blue Ridge Parkway and ended up 98 miles from my starting point.... lol Here are some pictures.

YES they taste just like SOS!!!!!!

Great pics...looked like an awesome day! BRP is my favorite road, although the speed limit is too slow! I do most of my BRP driving (and cycling as well) in the northernmost stretch from I-64 to Roanoke. Great place to drop the top, unwind, and enjoy the Porsche and the scenery.

Drive slowly--the maximum speed along most parts of the Blue Ridge Parkway is 45 mph--and look for the interpretive signs with a squirrel gun and powder horn symbol. These signs indicate overlooks and historic sites and are generally well worth a stop.

Great pics and nice car. The BRP is fun drive but can be frustrating with slow traffic. The Blue Ridge Mountains was one of the main reasons I moved here. I am 10 mins from the start of The Skyline Drive.
