Hello all! I'm possibly going down the IMS retrofit road. I have an '03 996 with 72k miles on it. Rear main seal was done already. Clutch replaced 1.5 years ago. Previous owner didn't get the IMS done with the clutch....whoops...

I was wondering if there were any independent guys on this forum that would be able to do the retrofit. I'm looking for a cheaper install price rather than the typical $1000 the shop charges. I'd be willing to throw some beer in during the entire install process if that helps! Maybe a nice steak dinner to offset the cost of the install . 10 oz Filet mignon with goat cheese, veggies, and a Caesar salad

I just need someone with the knowledge and tools to be able to conduct this job. It's kind of a long shot but that's what this forum is for, right?!?!

I would highly recommend a reputable indy shop as supposed to a stranger messing with your $10-15k engine. Seems too much risks to me and quite a bit of liability to that person too....Just my $.02
