First I would like to thank you all for your input yesterday on my break down resulting in coolant loss. Come to find out it was the bearing on the water pump that went bad. My word of advice if you do not know when your water pump was last replaced, then replace it now before you end up on the side of the road.

thank you, I shut down the engine as soon as I saw coolant being burned. It never was close to overheating. It pays to look at your rear view mirror.

An old runway out in the desert with an "X" painted where the numbers used to be.
I admit I was too much of a wuss to try to catch 6th and go any faster...
After I shut it down, I noticed what looked like smoke behind me - it was a light mist of coolant coming from the pump shaft.
Also noteworthy: Less than 10 minutes later, as I was limping the car back home, a doe and two fawns bounced across the road not 30 feet in front of me. Had I been driving that fast where it was unsafe, rather than in a place where I could actually see for a good half-mile in every direction, I would have had a face full of fresh venison. 100MPH, let alone 150MPH, is plenty fast to make stuff dead, including the driver...
I already had a pump sitting on the workbench, so my week wasn't ruined - it was just repurposed.
OP, I hope your pump came away with impellers intact and you'll be back on the road in no time.
