Default leaking!

My car is leaking, the floor in the back seat behind the driver side is wet. Don't see any water on the sides, the carpet around it. Where could this be coming from?

Luckily it doesn't rain much in LA...

Have you cleaned any of your drains since you got the car including sunroof drains?

have the rear window seal checked. you might be getting a rattling sound from that area when driving over rough pavement. had that happen on my 993 years ago.

My guess is the sunroof drain hoses as well, or maybe just the sunroof seal. Could be one of the drain hoses has come loose from it's fitting. There are two, back side of the sunroof on each side. They drain out the back and exit inside of the wheel liner in front of each back wheel. The exit seal is known to clog up since it is a "flap seal", i.e., water exits but can't get back in. The other places to check are the front drains, which if clogged up causes water to enter the interior in strange places.

Oops, stand corrected on the location of the sunroof drains by diagram above. Anyway, clean all the drains!

Thanks. I'll go check all the drains. So odd, the carpet was wet on the floor, but no water coming down the side anywhere. Like as if the water came from under the rear seats along the floor

That's a classic symptom of a clogged sunroof drain.

I agree that you should have the lines blown out first and see if that fixes the problem. I had the sunroof seal replaced on my 996 because it was leaking. I tried cleaning out the sunroof drains first and that didn't work. Replacing the seal worked.
