how many mounted tires can you fit inside the 996?
I know, a weird question but bear with me.
If I buy a 996 far from home and drive it back, and the seller provides a second set of wheels in the deal can they all fit inside for the ride home?
I remember when I bought the 928 I carried quite a bit of stuff with me, including a set of the original wheels...but no tires mounted...
I havent seen the inside of a 996 in so long and never have seen the inside of the 'trunk' so I cant even guess.

I've seen this done with one front wheel in the frunk, a front and a back in the back seat, and the other back in the passenger seat.

Are the tires worth saving? If not, have 'em dismounted. More room for you.

If it's a cab i bet with tie-downs you can go up 14 feet. After that you have to worry about overpasses.

Probably obvious, but deflating them completely can reduce the height by inches. Especially helpful if you're trying to stuff one into the frunk.
Incidentally, I deleted the front trunk floor and the tire and toolkit that typically live underneath it, so mine is 4" or so deeper than it would have been otherwise.

The shape of the front trunk is different with a C4, and its storage capacity is a little smaller. The space adjacent to the brake booster, where the C2's spare tire would be anchored, is full of fuel tank. Since the anchor mounting location is gone, laying the spare flat in the bottom of the trunk must have been the easiest solution.
With the exception of the additional space consumed by the saddle fuel tank, I believe the frunk volumes are similar.
