Hi everyone.
I am thinking about putting a wing on the rear of my 01 C4. Question is...Will a 997 part fit a 996? Will a 997 rear deck lid/engine cover fit a 996? Will a 997 wing that replaces the original deck lid spoiler fit a 996?

I know this has been tried before. You can make it fit, but it's not a direct bolt on replacement. Modification is required and it will require paintwork, if I'm not mistaken.

Paint of the original parts? Or painting the new? Do you know what type of mods? Cutting or mods to the deck lid interface? Can you charCterize?

I wish I knew more, sorry that I don't. My understanding is that the 997 deck lid needed some trimming and repainting. There's a thread on rennlist about it somewhere...
