I had a 2001 Audi TT 225hp, which I loved until it turned into a total lemon (14 weeks in the shop this year). So I sold it back to the dealer and bought a 996. My husband plans to sell his S4 Avant soon because the warranty is expiring in ~4K miles, and he's one warning light away from a multi-thousand dollar repair.

Three Wheelin'
One S4 and one A4
Both great cars. Originally thought I might get the new S4 Avant and the new TT 3.2 with DSG, but much happier with the compromise of one C4S instead!

Currently own an A6 Quattro bi-turbo here (as well as other "fleet" members). Great car, driven it over the mountains in raging snow storms more than once, between Boston and Montreal.

Actually the rotors don't warp. What does happen is there is transfer of the break pad material to the rotor. This happens for a variety of reasons, see attached for a really good explanation.

I have had the front rotors replaced twice because of this tendency. There is something going on with the design that causes this in the Audi, but I don't know what it is......
