So $10k difference? For only 30-40k more on the clock?

I can see the milage being a detractor, but I would expect the limited edition to at least wash that out.

Dunno, like I said, just seems low to me, but then I've been complaining the last month or so about seemingly overpriced specimens...
I've never been overly satisfied with the "accuracy" of services like KBB in pricing a car - e.g., Edmunds puts the retail for an "average" condition 2000 ME car with 100K miles at about $12.2 and for "clean" condition at $15.6.

That's just bizarre.

I agree though, I think they are close 70% of the time, the rest they obviously used a random number generator...

When the body has been bent up(presumed from rebuilt title) you can make anything out of it you want, then wrap it in vinyl.

Works for me.

If this was a tip, I'd prolly own it. Still, decent price for the car.

I just saw this today, it is in Royal Oak MI. I'm tempted to call just to see why he pulled it.
Suspiciously there was a guy selling a 99 in Royal Oak a month or two back that had pulled the engine pulled, saying it was a "lifter problem" and an "easy fix". I'm guessing this is that same engine.

The upgrade list mentions the dtent fix for 2nd gear pop out. If he (like most/all?) waited until it exhibited the pop out before applying the fix then I'd say there is a decent chance of needing to rebuild the transmission. Depending on when he did it, how much you'd drive it, and how long you keep it you might be able to go your entire ownership without having to pay that particular bill.

Not sure why we (NA crowd) seem to collectively think that the dtent is a final solution while the TT guys understand that it's just a stop gap and the synchro is going to have to be replaced. At what a transmission rebuild costs them I'd expect them to be far more willing to stick their heads in the sand...

The detent-fix was done as a precautionary measure - same as the IMS upgrade.
Upon taking delivery of the car in late 2013 it was obvious that the clutch was shot, so that triggered several other "take-care-of" items while I had the car up in the air and the tranny off.

So your car then?

That's cool. That should indeed keep the synchro from getting chewed up then or at the very least postpone it much longer than the post pop out replacement.
