IMS and RMS tell us that the car was kept as a thing to take care of. I would ask for an oil analysis as part of a PPI just to make sure, and would expect to pay $400 for the PPI and oil change if the Seller would allow holding the car pending the oil analysis report.

Not necessarily...this car sold at auction in Canada over the weekend for the same price and IMHO a better car all around with lower mileage:

Just curious. Why a MK1 is better than a MK2 with heated sport seats, bose, alu shifter/brake?
