Not sure if this link will show up, but here's an interesting car. 2003 Cab NA converted to a twin turbo. Professionally done, but still: crazy.

If it were a coupe, it would probably sell pretty quickly.

Why do you think TT cabs are less desireable?

Historically, auction data proved that the average Porsche buyers preferred coupes with manuals. But the trends are changing with the new generation of Porsche enthusiasts. It seems the 996 Turbo cabriolet is worth as much or more than a comparable Turbo coupe.

There is also the perception that convertibles in general don't handle as well as coupes, because a car with a roof has a stiffer chassis.

I LOVE driving with the top down! Heated seats windows up wind deflector up and she has a blanket we drive with the top down as long as we can! Even opn really nice days in winter! BUT I always wondered if my car does "sway" a little in high speed turns due to it being a cab? I get a slight "wobble" when I'm doing twisties. Never drove a coupe so I'm not sure if its the cab or the way I'm driving ;-{

I had toyed with the na-->tt idea also. It turns out that you can buy a low mileage tt motor+ecu for 10k, which is less than a na rebuild. The trans must also be swapped for tt trans, then upgrades to fueling and accomidation for intercoolers. The problem would be resale. I mean who would buy a car like this when there are plenty of clean factory 996tt vehicles on the market with a similar price point? ...So, if you go this route, you'd better love it because you'll likely never get your investment back out of the car. ...but that doesn't mean that I'm still not thinking about it!
