tiptronic problems!!

This is a update and we FIX IT!!! We tested the regulators using Torontoworkers spec sheet and found the wrong ohms going to everthing..Once we started digging around the valve body we noticed the wiring harness plug on the transmission(round on) was damaged on the inside..My guess is who ever pulled the tranny for us must have lowered it down while it was still hooked up or something and torked it..We luckly had the core still in the shop and switched out the complete harness..Perfect now..We did the oil change and a new filter, just in case it was dirty..Took it on a test drive and it shift perfectly!!!Thanks to all you guys out there we avoided the dealership were I'm sure they would have told us it was the tcu or something..lol..Thanks Torontoworker for your info you found and thank you Rennlist...

Those are fault codes for an internal issue (or wiring of) and the pressure regulator issue is a big deal (requires a RR) as the labor hours to fix one issue is just about the same to do a rebuild, (while your in there mode). I'm hoping it is only a connection/wiring issue for you. I found a test diagram for the valve issue to test connectivity issues as well as the speed sensor issue. Is there a refund on this transmission - as you may have a bad one with stuck valves, (a known issue)? I also found reference to version coding for the TCU that has to match the ECU and a Porsche Systems Tester 2 has to be used to do the recoding.
Hope this helps.

Hi, I have a similar issue and am looking for the test diagram mentioned “ I found a test diagram for the valve issue to test connectivity issues as well as the speed sensor issue.”
i know this is an older thread, but surprised at lack of info found.
