Below the list of dot-matrix printed options on my '00 C2 is a hand-written (in black marker) "W-022".

Does that mean anything to anyone? Googling gets me nowhere.

Check he "W-" part real close that it's not a number. A lot of times the 4 digit radio code is written on the option sticker.

"x022" would most likely be a radio code.

Huh. Went back to check and it is most definitely a "W" and a distinct hyphen.

W is for "Wasserkraft"

You have the special build amphibious option.

It is likely a Workshop Campaign that was performed on the vehicle. W (workshop campaign) 0 (year 2000) 22 (22nd campaign released that year). I'd have to do some digging to find out what campaign W022 actually was.
