Default 996 Book suggestions?

Any good 996 books you'd all recommend for a new Porsche owner...?

Great question and a good answer as well! I'm planning to pick these up myself.

It depends what you want. I was interested in being able to DIY. I bought the Bentley book first and this is by far the most thorough reference of how things are put together (including torque values.) It has a good intro section about the car itself but other than that it is mostly instructions for disassembly and assembly rather than detailed how-tos or how things work. In some cases, procedures are very much oversimplified ("we've removed the engine to make it easier to see")

The Pelican Parts website and the 101 Projects book are similar if not identical. Having it in book for is nice though. Be advised that some of the information is different for 996.2s.

I generally find that I use both of these resources, Rennlist and the Renntech DIYs.
