Default BiXenon retrofit

Anybody know the availability of a BiXenon retrofit kit for a post 02 996. Any ideas on cost would also be appreciated.

TIA

At this time, factory Litronic retrofit kits are only available for pre-'02 cars.

Is it possible to purchase the parts to install in a post 02, or are there significant differences that would not allow such a refit?

I am sure it is possible but the cost of the parts might be very prohibitive and the job labor intensive if you want to include self-leveling in the retrofit. Also, it is possible that, with the new Bi-Xenon, the lights won't work without self-leveling. Maybe, that's why Porsche hasn't bothered to introduce a kit which they could sell at a somewhat reasonable price.

....not to mention you would need to replace the front right & left fenders and bumper in order to accomodate the shape of the bi-xenon headlamps.

The pre 02 Litronic upgrade kit is out of the question.

Thanks for the help Viken.

Oopps, I misunderstood. I thought you were talking about upgrading to bi-xenons on your '99.

What you might want to do it get a pair of used Bi-Xenon projectors, Bulbs, and Ballast off of Ebay and do a little work say taking out the Halogen projectors and putting in the Bi-Xenon projectors. Here is a link to HID Forum where a couple of people have done this but not on a Porsche, and a link to Ebay and Ebay2
