Default Opinions on a car I found...? Aero

Hi Everyone,
sorry for all the posts... the search for my first 911 is a bit overwhelming.

I'd like an opinion on this car:

1999 996. Looks like an Aero (not sure if kit or factory)
90,000 miles (I don't mind high mileage, usually)
Black exterior / Black interior
Sport seats (drivers leather separated from plastic back)
HID lights
$18,995

Thoughts...?

is the rear Aero spoiler supposed to be adjustable? Looks like it is tilted up (like an aileron)...

Priced about right. Looks like factory aero. Post a pic of the white options sticker under the hood and we'll tell you for sure. Look for option code XAA which is factory aero.
As for overall, that is a gorgeous car - but I might be a bit biased.

I also found another Aero, but this one has 105k miles... and is up north in a cold climate (the black one is in the south).
This one is silver, but the seller stated the color is "Mirage Metallic" and the color will shift. Is this like a pearlescent type color? Or similar but not so cheap looking?

Seat is split/torn on the black one.

2nd car needs more pictures.

Also, get the options sticker pictures for both cars to make comparison more objective.

Yep, I saw the seat is torn on the black one... but I figure it can be repaired, yes no?
Will post more pictures of the silver one...

3-spoke steering wheel, GT trim pieces and better stereo on the silver one.

+1.

Black looks like a non-factory aero car.

Silver car has a Navi (+/-), being a 99 car it has the crappiest navigation available. PCM 1 8 bit. Interior looks better on the silver car IMO and that color looks very unique. Silver car also has an upgraded 3 spoke steering wheel.

Thoughts on prices? The silver one has 105k miles... asking price is $19,500.

I'd say priced appropriately. Of course, $18,500 would be better.

PCM 1 is the name of the navigation system on the 99-02 models. 99 comes with 8 bit interface, and it is not up-gradable. Unless you are a sucker for keeping the car factory original, you will want to replace the navigation unit with something more modern.

FWIW, Mirage Metallic is really more of a beige than a true silver.
In some light it looks very silver-like, while in other light it appears very metallic beige.
It's an interesting color, but might be a bit polarizing for resale.

Also FWIW, I like the Mirage car better than the black.
