I'm slowly visiting all the big Civil War battlefields; man, there were a lot of battles!

Nice pic. I'll be visiting Gettysburg next weekend with the family. Haven't been there in 15 years or so.

Frisbee: If you have not made reservations, may I suggest the Lee's headquarters Quality Inn at Seminary Ridge and Old U.S. 30. (717) 334-3141. Built for the 75th anniversary of the battle, it has a charming tourist court lay-out, pool, is beautifully kept and, alas, scheduled to be demolished to restore that part of the field to its 1863 condition. i've stayed there since the 1950s and had a delayed honeymoon there in 1970.

That posting puts a nice suggestion for a visit in my head. We live only 50 miles from there and have visited many times in the past but not in a Porsche 996 Cab. Should make for some real nice photos. Thanks.

Signs of peace: Portia the Porsche and a Confederate Napoleon with a bird's nest in the muzzle. Gettysburg's cavalry battlefield.
