Value of a 2002 C4 Cab roller
Greetings all,
Got the dreaded news yesterday that the wife's C4 Cab is in need of a new motor, surprisingly not due to an IMS failure. The car as 50k miles, oil and filetr was super clean when serviced 2 months ago, all was well until last week when she started it up and it idled very rough. No smoke, no scary noises so she shut it down and had it towed to the shop. The bottom line is that cylinder 5 has no compression and the mufflers are full of coolant.
After a long "discussion" we decided that it's not worth it to us to fix. If she wanted to keep it, we would've gone that route, but she wants to have nothing to do with it and I can't blame her. I don't want to spend 12-15K to fix it, just to sell it for $20K, I might net the same just selling it as is. So I wanted to solicit opinions on what I could ask for the car. It's Meridian over grey, 6 speed (good tranny and clutch) in nice condition- has previous paintwork as visible to a trained eye and per carfax.
