Default C4S Headlights

I have read a few posts concerning headlights lately and have a few questions...

1) How do I know what type of head light system I have (I'm driving a 2002.02 C4S)?

2) Is there a way of adjusting these from inside (I mean is there away to lower/raise them a tad)?

3) I know that there is some kind of wash-system for the head lights (there are the round silver plates in the middle of them and there's water coming out when I pull the whole unit out turning it)?

I have never really given this part of the car very much thought and thanks to other posters I started to wonder... Is there anything else I should know about the headlights? I did figure the fog lights out pretty quickly and that's about it...

If you have the headlight washers, then your car is equipped with HID headlights. If you push the windshield washer lever forward when the headlights are on, then the washers will raise and wash the headlights. I think there is a way to adjust the headlights, but I haven't tried it. The HID system is self-leveling.

Here's a fact you need to know: don't ever activate headlight washers (pushing the stalk) while going above 30mph or so. The chrome covers will fly off. I'm in the south so I never use gem anyways.

There is another thread on here that talks about the self leveling feature and adjustment; it was up just the other day.

I haven't had issues with speed and the caps flying off. I've had a bigger issue activating them when the temperature is below 20 degrees F. They sometimes stick open until they warm up. If you try to manually push them down, then the caps break off.

I've used the headlight washers on the highway to send a message to tailgaters to back off. The washers squirt out a significant amount of water/fluid, and it will cover the windshield of a tailgater's car pretty effectively.

Hmm, maybe that why I seem to have an inordinate amount of people washing their windshields in front of me...

High intensity discharge xenon bulbs
An electrical arc between two electrodes intensified by metal salts. Much brighter and more efficient than filament bulbs.
