Default Ebay Window Regulators

Any body have any experience with the cheapy brands on Ebay? $100-$150 compared to $290+ has me looking but this is probably a case of you get what you pay for...

Still, some say lifetime warranty and some look identical to the OEM part.

Buddy went that route and both of his failed in just over a year. I went OEM two years ago when my passanger side went and still going strong.

He went OEM 2nd time around.

Don't buy this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/150590554947

Didn't fit well and I struggled with adjusting it for 2 weeks. They hesitated with giving a refund and blamed installer error, but eventually took it back.

Installed an OEM one from PelicanParts (at double the price), set all of the adjustments the same as my factory one and it was aligned fine from the start. One of the few times where it's actually been worth it for me to pay the premium for the factory part.

My drivers side regulator went bad. Went to dealer and got OE. About $280. It was worth every penny. No problems installing, no problems afterwards. Agree with MiamiC70 and devioustrap...pay the premium on this part and you won't regret it.

Well I think we know where this is headed. I'd like to know if anyone had a good experience so hopefully this will keep going.

I've got my eye out for a set of used OEM regulators but those always seem like they're a gamble as well. Best price I've seen on new OEM is suncoast.

For those that may question why go through the trouble for a $100 savings, its more about bang for buck than being cheap. I think now that these cars are at a certain price point all kinds of OEM alternatives for parts are going to be popping up and a list of what does and doesn't work may not be a bad idea.

Agreed. The third was my last. But on the bright side I can do them in no time.
