I appreciate the warning, but I have a thorough understanding of MAF oiling, so no further oil comments, por favor.

The oiling wasn't my issue it was more of the sucking in of hot air while in traffic and at a light. Car was a slug. On the highway it was great. Seeing your in California, traffic central, lol, you'll have the same problem. The oiling problem didn't happen to me. I removed the intake very quickly. Since my motor blew from the IMS issue, it was sent out to LN engineering and got 3.8 sleeves and pistons, I ended up putting the 997 3.8 air box. I like it.

Thanks for the info. I'll be interested to see what intake temps look like before and after the switch.

5CHN3LL, Where did you get your filter? I probably could of saved you some money.

If anybody else want's to buy K&N 57-7000 I have the filter HERE, use the RENNLIST 10% off code at checkout and it should be the cheapest on the web. You get free shipping and no sales tax unless you're in MO.

Do you sell "just" the filter as well?
I bought the kit years ago.
