I'm looking for a constant, switched power source and ground near the stereo.

Has anyone seen this plug on a 2002 with PCM and corded phone installed factory?
The phone plug I have looks like a home phone plug (bit bigger) and runs 9.5 volts...
Looked everywhere, under ash tray, shift boot, both batwing and phone holder panel removed, nowhere to be found hanging out or connected to something else...

Thanks all in advance
I have a 99 C2 cab and the plug is hanging down inside this panel. The panel simplky clips away from your accelerator pedal.

Without a volt meter, you are just poking around in the dark, hoping to hit something.

Apparently that connector only exists on North American cars. Saw an old posting at 911uk.co.uk that said so. No wonder I can't find it as well. Mine is a UK car but now lives in New Zealand.

I got my volt meter out. 12 volts from the connection. Unit is getting power, but isn't working. Emailed tech support.

Good to know - but that sucks for non-NA owners. That connector is amazingly handy.

I know! I'll fuse-tap it to the fuse-box when I've the time to gather the materials.
