Default 993 Twist wheels on a C4S?

I ran into someone selling a set of what I believe to be a set of 993 Turbo Twist wheels - though no part number is apparently visible so I suppose they could be replicas. I'm contemplating getting these as a winter set. They are advertised as:
225/40/18 fronts ~ 18x8
265/35/18 rears ~ 18x10

I believe Porsche recommends 10" for winter wheels ... does anyone know if these work on a C4S?

They look like OEM 993 Turbo look wheels to me. They'll have the p/n in the back of the spoke (usually covered in grime)

They should "fit", but they'll look ridiculous on a C4S because of the wide rear fenders.

X2. The stock rears are 295's. Most people go wider not skinnier. 305's and 315's look awesome on a C4S. 265's will look absurd.

Thanks for the opinions - note that this would be for a winter wheel set (mounted with Blizzak's) where a narrower tire is preferred. I have my sport techno's for summer which I love. AFAIK Porsche recommends 225/40/18 and 265/35/18 winter tires, which work best on 8" front, 10" rear wheels.

The OP wants these for winter wheels.
Narrower wheels perform better in snow.
In winter, functionality trumps appearance.

Check the offsets on the rears. I think they are different on the 993 so from memory they will stick out more filling the wider fenders. Probably will look ok.

Not in California and other "civilized" parts of the world.

Offset and/or spacers might make them look just fine.

I used to live in SoCal - I totally get why you placed quotation marks around the word civilized.

I'll get some pics of the wheels on my car ... might be a good option for others too!

I believe those 17" would do fine on your 996.I think that is close to standard 17" wheels that came with my 2000 996

You should go for the full "rally car on ice" look screw the spacers.

It's fine and it doesn't look ridiculous on my C4S. I use that size on my winter wheels:

Front: 18x8 235/40R18
Rear: 18x10 265/35R18

I run this exact set for my winter set up on my 996 c4s. You will need spacers though for both front and rear.
