All CAB dudes
(and Dudettes)
When I got my 04 C4S Cab it was rattly and noisy. And not in a good way. I would hit a bump and the doors sounded like they would jump off the hinge. And with the top up it was a squeak machine.
Here are a few things to check. I raised the hinge on the door frame up. And the jumping doors stopped. I lubricated all the rubber/metal areas. Then all I had was a small (but irritating) noise when driving. A friend said "Wait, I know how to fix it".......Silicone in the door latch area.....worked like a champ.
Now my car is body quiet for a CAB![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Tim, can you elaborate on what rubber and metal areas you lubricated, and how/what types of lube you used?
I too have several rattles and squeaks in my cab and would be interested in hearing more info.

Yes, please elaborate. What does "raised the hinge on the door frame up" mean?
What lubricant (type/brand) on the rubber/metal areas?
What silicone (type/brand) used on the door latch area?

Ok, I will try to elaborate ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
You have the silver U shaped catch on the body of the car, you loosen that and lift it up and tighten it down. The holds the door more firmly.
There are rubber seals around the door and the car body. I used plain old Vaseline to give them the moisture they needed. And in the door latch I just used a Silicon spray (BG in my case). I will try to snap a few pictures this weekend. And as Road says it is silent as could be besides the engine and wind in your hair

I've got a squeek on the left side behind the driver's seat. Damn Indiana post-winter roads. And, the virtual speed bumps that pass as bridge joints.
Just beats the hell out of my car.![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)

It has been nice to not have phantom squeaks
The biggest reduction in noise for me was adjusting the silver latch up to hold the doors more firmly. Over the years they settle.
