Sounds like shift cable issues. Shouldn't be too bad. Are you selling or buying? I'm confused.

Selling, moving to the mountains of Colorado...
Probably have to disclose on the PPI...yes?
I like the cable idea...my thinking was more old school - throw out bearing...don't even know if that exists in this trans configuration.

Moving to the mountains of Colorado is no reason to sell a 996, actually more of a reason to buy one. Plenty of us cruising around here, great driving roads, with good snow tires even a 996 C2 (like mine) is great. Avatar is me with the 996 on Georgetown lake with it frozen over during a PCA autocross. Several Cabs in attendance at same event (with tops down)!

Don't know yet, buyer picking up cost...would guess around $150 at a dealer. I'm getting an oil change on my dime just to be nice...

Good price. I paid $350 for one in Chicago a few weeks back.

We're not doing compression or leak down tests, maybe that's the difference.

No, I bought the Targa. I'm waiting on the dealer replacing the ISB and RMS.

It was another 911 in Chicago. PPI came back with bent tie rods, RMS leak, leaking steering rack, and front bumper was repainted and was not lining up correctly.
