Default Finally upgraded my 996's suspension.

My shocks arrived last week from Carnewal, so it was time to get everything fitted:

Koni Sport adjustable shocks
H&R springs
New coffin arms
New Drop links

Fronts in:

Off the Stands

And on route to my local independent Porsche specialist for its service & geo.

Photo's don't do the drop justice, once I get it back I'll add some proper photos.

Great looking car I think you would improve the stance if you added 19" wheels. Just a thought...

Coffin arm? They don't look like a coffin handle if that is what the reference is to. Why would they be called "coffin arms"?

The Koni sports cost £850, the full new top mount kit £500 and the springs £300.

LOL.

I'd like to point out that the ride quality is absolutely superb, I found no noticeable difference in ride quality.

Got the car back, unfortunately my Indy's Geo equipment is broke so I'm going to get it done elsewhere ASAP.

Some pictures of it washed.

Excuse the photos.

Cheers

Got the car back last night from having the Geo setup.

I had the guys dial in the same settings as the Factory X74 suspension and I must say it's transformed the car. Really delighted overall now!

Looks great! I can imagine how the new suspension transforms the car. Exactly the same feeling I had when I put the x74 in and I regretted deeply that I drove on the stock (junk) suspension for 6yrs.

Luckily, I only had to endure stock suspension for 2 years before I installed my x74.

OP, congrats on the new suspension. Seems like a good option for those that can no longer find the complete x74 kit.

Quick Reply: Finally upgraded my 996's suspension.
