Default Non-running Porsche 996 Value?

I am just curious to find out what the potential value of my non-running 2001 996 would be.

It did have 72k miles before it developed small cracks in the heads and oil got into the cooling system and the engine got buzzed pretty good... now it is in pieces in my garage.

If I were to find the right buyer what would a non-running 996 (in otherwise excellent condition) with the gt3 body kit and most of the factory options, be worth while not running?

Data point, I bought a nice 65k mile 1999 C2 coupe with bad engine for 6500.00 last year. Black on gray.

With the engine apart, car not running I'm guessing $5-6k

I've been looking at buying a 996 and at least in the SF Bay Area a running decent one with under 100K miles runs 15-20K I would say one with a bad engine would be a 5-6K car if in excellent cosmetic condition.

Probably $7-8k assuming:

Case is good
Crank is good
GT3 wing is factory

Less otherwise

I agree with others at $5-6k. You'd probably be better off to get a used motor for $5k or so and then sell it if you still have no interest in keeping it.

I had a similar situation last year and asked $6K for it. Factory aero kit with ROW 030 suspension. Sold it to the first of 4 interested parties in 4 hours, so maybe I was a little low on price.

A friend of mine is looking for a car like this. Where are you located? I bought my non runner 1.5 years ago for $5K. Yours should be about at least a grand more.

The reason one sells so fast bc this is the cheapest way to get into a Porsche 911. 5k is about what anyone will pay. Go higher and you'll sit with a paper weight for a little bit. If also be interested in adding another one to my stable. Just all depends where the car is located.

Part it out, there is no way I'd be letting it go for even 10k. Not unless your a fool and have money to throw away.

I purchased a 1999 with a blown engine about 2 weeks ago for $5100 + 500 for shipping. Car has zero rust but needed some TLC. The dealer was a real piece of work and took parts off the car before DAS picked it up. I have received money on the missing parts (after state police were called) so all total I have about 5000 in the deal.
By the way the dealer's name is Unique Motorsports in NY. Stay far away from these cowboys!!
