I have 295 rears, (MPSS) on a lowered car and my fenders were rolled, no rubbing but the spacing is close, not sure I would want any wider.........

Ok, so did a little searching. It looks like the guys running tires larger than 295 and the wider 11" rims are on wide bodied cars. My lowered narrow bodied car I can't see going over 295's and I plan on rolling the fenders before going back to 295's just to be safe.

BTW, I run 10.5" Victor Innsbruck's on rear w/ 55mm offset and Hankook V12 295's with no issues and after the x74 suspension install running 285's. Both with no issues.

If you run wheels with the same GT3 offset then the 295/30/18 will be fine without rolling the rear fenders. I have been running these on the track and street with no issues whatsoever.

As mentioned, you can go wider. If you're not too low, no need to roll the fenders, either. I don't need to research, am just telling you my own experience with a NB 996, 315/30/18 tires and 11" wheels.

The 996 takes a lot of tire without any work to the body. Coming from an e36 M3, it's a very pleasant and welcome surprise as that chassis took major work just to get 285s to fit.

I have the same VI with V12 295s. I'm getting H&R sport springs. Will I be OK without any changes to the fenders?

What is the difference between the C2 and GT3 offset?

Edit: Found this over at Renntech - 18 x 8 ET 40 and 11 x 18 ET 63

FYI the BBS RS-GT (the ones I want) are ET 50 and ET 65 for both the 996 MKII and the 04 GT3

I want to go 295 (on 19" wheels) on my 99 NB on next tire change. My car is lowered but not aggressively. Tire shop say they should clear but looking for real world experience/advice.

I can vouch for the 285's as that is what is on there now. However, now that the x74 is in I am 99% sure that had I gone back to 295 V12's they would have been fine and that is what I am doing once these tires wear down.
