I can do that on mine with human subjects but haven't had any luck getting it to work for my car.

My car is Palladio Metallic, AKA high-performance beige. I wasn't totally excited about the color when I first bought the car, but the fact it was a bit of an oddball color attracted me to it, and now I like it a lot. Also, it always looks clean, which is nice living in Seattle where it rains a lot.

I am told by the owner that this is Wimbledon Green.
If so, that was a special order color I believe.

One thing that's on the drawing board for later this year (warmer weather) is painting the bumperettes in body color. IMO, black trim pieces don't look so great with this color.
And I agree about the car looking clean ... with all the crap on the roads this winter, dirt hiding capability was a definite plus.

Ha! That was basically my exact thought and purchase process for my car as well. Also, I detailed the car and waxed it last weekend to celebrate a few days of sun we're having right now and I must say that this color really pops in the sun. It does a cool flip from gold to silver depending on the lighting.

To add to your observation. It's funny how some cars and colours don't work at all in mid and nothern Europe (I live in Belgium), but are almost appealing under the sun of southern US states! It probably is the case with your Palladio 996s!
