Default HTR III discontinued?

Need new tires and asked for a quote on the Sumitomos. Apparently no longer available. Any other Sumitomo that is working? Thanks

That last set of HTR's I had, two of them were more that 1/2 inch out of round. Good riddance, I say!!

Amen! I have had them on three cars, couldn't dump them fast enough. Why ruin your expensive car's ride and handling with cheap POS tires?

As I get older, I understand the true value of quality. In my twenties, I had a car much faster than my C2, however I think I spent more time on my back in my garage fixing it than actually enjoying it. When it comes to tires, look for a good deal for some michelins or Bridgestones at tire rack and skip a dinner out or two. It's cheaper to buy once than buy twice due to poor quality.

There is a Hugh difference in how tires feel

High doped travel gives it away every time
Buy the best tires you can find
I suggest michelins
Buy a full set

Tire Rack is a great resource, both for their tests and surveys. Typically Michelin Pilot and Bridgestone Potenzas are the top two. Potenzas in particular aren't that expensive.

Mine came with a brand new set of HTRZIIs. Many people seem to like the ZIIIs, but the ZIIs were slippery and not confidence inspiring, even after a couple of thousand miles to break them in. I think that even the Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 all seasons that I replaced them with this fall are much better dry traction tires. Since mine is a daily driver that I don't track, the Hankooks are good enough that I'll probably just leave them on over the summer. Hopefully the ZIIIs are much better than the ZIIs.

Maybe, just MAYBE I'll try something more expensive next time but I've run the ZIII's for the last few years and I like them well enough for what I do and I like the price too. I've had to replace the rears before the fronts need it and was doubly happy to save 566.00 on two tires over Bib's brand!

I gotta say, that kind of coin in my pocket smooths out the ride a bit!
