Default Spin On Oil Filter

Is there any torque value for attaching the LN spin on filter attachment? Also, it came with no seal or washer. Just screw it on?

Any other tips?

I think someone said the NAPA Wix filter was recommended. Is there a specific part number/series filter to buy?

Thanks. First DIY oil change on for tomorrow.

Hey
Put mine on last week. The LN website has the torque value for the adapter.
I want to say about 18ft/lbs? The NAPA Gold filter is the recommended one. #51042
TQ is 18 ft/lbs on the adapter. Be sure the base snugs all the way up to the engine block
Before torqueing. I found that the large size of the drain plug overwhelmed my oil drain pans'
Ability to accept. Have a pail or tub handy. 10 qts is a lot of oil

Its been a while, but I want to say I remember a rubber O-ring being on there.

Might want to confirm before installing

There is an o-ring on the threads for the filter but nothing on the threaded part that attaches to the motor.

Thanks!

Correct. There is a ring on the inside of the threaded nipple.

Just checked LNs site. Unless somethings changed, there should definitely be an O-ring on the side that threads into the engine. (see pics)

Yep. That large o-ring as shown in the male threads of the adapter
Also a smaller o-ring inside the female oil port on the same end of that adapter.

Large O-ring is there. The small threaded tube has no O-ring.

Need to call Pellican tomorrow.

You sure?
It's about 1/2 inside the oil flange that is surrounded by those 8 or 10 holes on that end of the adapter...not the spin-on filter end.
In the photo on the right, 1/2 way down into the flange

TS--Oh! I got it. I was looking at the smaller part. Got it.

Gtg now. Thanks all. Standby for a report on how I underestimated how much 10 qts. is.
