tried a few web searches, but turned up empty. I was curious as to how many 996 C4S are produced per year, how many are imported to the US and what would be even cooler is a break down by color.

Anyone know if this info is available anywhere?

There was an informal suvey done at funcars of all 996 colors and I seem to recall it being about - 50% silver, 20% black, 20% blue, 5% white, remainder red and violet chromaflair - mill. color.

Total 996 production of all models for Y 05 was 4012

This number is probably greatly lower given the amount of C4S coupes that have bit the dust for one reason or other.

Based on numbers found in the 996 Essential Companion, for the 4S (coupe + convertible):

2001 Coupe: 14
2002 Coupe: 4802
2003 Coupe: 7388
2003 Cab: 451
2004 Coupe: 4365
2004 Cab: 4543
2005 Coupe: 728
2005 Cab: 763

So that's a total of 17298 Coupes and 5757 Cabs made globally over essentially 4 model years (the 2001 number I bet was like the final preproduction/PVT build, or just press cars). That's total production volume, not just US sales.
