I'm keeping my eyes open for a 996 Turbo as well, and do love the acceleration, but I've also driven a 996 Turbo and C2 back-to-back on the track. The C2 is definitely more satisfying to drive when you get a corner or lap just right. The Turbo covers your sins better with the AWD if you overcook a corner and the power to make up for poor corner exit speed.
