Excuse my ignorance but what are "TR" wheels. I like the look.

"TR Motorsports" is a brand of wheels that were mostly sold through Tirerack at one point.

Yikes! Those 40AE OEM wheels cost a fortune (I know - I replaced my originals with a set of factory new ones). From my time hunting for a set of good 40AE used wheels I'll bet that there still are folks out there who'd love to have them. Why not sell them and just powder coat a set of regular Carrera II wheels? You'd probably make a few bucks in the process.

I'm with you. I think that the 40AE wheels are absolutely stunning, especially on our 40AE cars.

This photo has made my mind up about wheels. I was looking at a set of OZ's for the weight savings, but these just look so right on the car.

Smoked chrome is killer. I love the look of the regular old Sport Designs. Just wish they weren't so damn heavy.

Loved the Fikse wheels on my previous 986. I would have keep them for the 996 but wasn't sure if the offset was right.

I have the carrera 2 wheels but I recently got a set of Cup iv wheels as winters and think they look good .

Tire rack sells them , a good value for money wheel, especially when you do a wheel and tire package

Just picked up the 2003 C4S a week ago and tried these BBS's on.
Was hoping I might find a picture of a 996 with the Sport Design wheels such as what I put onto my Cayman S a couple of years ago.
