I can't check since I am out of town but if I recall these are the following:
Front: 8.5x18 ET40
Rear: 10x18 ET47.5
No spacers
I will need to confirm though when back in town.
I currently run with MK2 GT3 wheels.
We must have different wheels, here are mine #5130901847 = Cargraphic Wheel for Porsche PCD 5x130 / 9,0x18ET47 #5130111862 = Cargraphic Wheel for Porsche PCD 5x130 / 11,0x18ET62

I think they stick out the same amount....your offsets are adjusting for the wider wheels in both the front and back. Your front is 12.7mm wider so adjusting or sticks out 6.35 mm more because of width over 8.5. That is why I have 7mm less offset... Same argument in the back...your width is 25.4 mm more so take half at 12.7 which means that is within 3mm of my outer surface so it makes sense for how car graphic sized these.
vintage Gemballa Speedline Corse 2 piece. 18x8.5 et46 and 18x10 et40
Perfect fit, no spacers.. don't mind the front bumper chips.. her nickname right now is the "road warrior" and she eats up the miles.

That offset calculating looks right to, it makes sense.
Did you purchase new, curious on cost?
For the other people on this thread, when you look to purchase wheels for a 996, are you looking new or used.
Some of the prices of new wheels for our cars push $6000+
Here's a couple of pics I took today just before a Porsche Club group road trip.
To recap: factory 18inch 5 spoke C2 wheels. 17mm spacers all around, H&R blue lowering springs (25mm),Bikstein B8 Sport shocks.
Here's my early 99 C2 on several wheels. no spacers on these, straight wheels to hubs. Lowered with H&R Sports (blue) and KONI adjustable shocks. Perfect ride and height for daily duty
The gloss black inside and out powdercoated Carrera IIs are off the car and FS if anyone is interested.
Lowpue I love that yellow beast of yours. Even better knowing whats under the lid.
Audidude the Carrera IIs are looking good spaced out, I always wanted to pick up some spacers on mine. All my pics are without spacers on the GT3 and BBS Carrera IIs. (except the one with my G35 coupe)
85 eurocarrera your silver aero is beautiful on the GT3s.
I run larger than oem tire sizes because I prefer a little more tire. OEM GT3 size fronts at 245/40/18 and currently 275/40/18 on the rear. The black wheel pics are on 265/35/18 OEM rear size. I love the ride and she is very responsive, but not punishing on long drives..as you can see there have been a few in the last year and a half. #GetOutAndDrive
