That's what I guess I need to do.

Just curious, you have a 996 NB, what wheels and offsets did you go with?

One of the few times I agree with KK. And might I add one of the lightest factory Porsche wheel as well. I need to peek out to see if there is a full moon out tonight or something...

Ha ha, I like the look of the Innsbruck. I think the original are nothing special. I'll keep them around but I think these new wheels are much more updated.

Also doing some more digging, 15mm is just over 1/2 inch. I think I'll be ok, but I'm going to call the store anyway so I feel better.

This is right from the Wheel Dynamics website.

Looks like a 45-55 front and a 38-50 rear offsets will work fine.

I got the 18-8 with 45 offset and the 18-10 with 50 offset. They give a really nice stance.

Just double check!.from the factory the rears are 65 et, remember the lower the number the farther the wheel will stick out towards the inner wheel well, those lower numbers 45,47 etc are wide body fitments, mine are 65et in the rear and i didnt use spacers.

by the way i just realized! are we talking 19 inch, because if we are, then in my opinion thats a mistake, the car was designed for 18s, plenty to read up about that! and one more reason to consider the pros and cons,if you plan on entering a local porsche club driving event or other function that will let you explore the limits of your car, then correct wheel and tire sizes are a must,

My car came with 18's and I'm staying with 18's.

I want them as close to factory as possible. If they were offered in the factory 50 and 65 I'd gladly take those. I believe these are only offered in the 45 and 50.

Swede...your tires don't run at all? They handle and ride well?

Definitely do not wanna go below 50 out back on a 10" wide rim or people are gonna think you are on turbo fitment. Plus you might run into rubbing issues unless you do some crazy vwaudigaudi camber angles.

I just spoke to someone at Discount Tire Direct where I'm getting these and he said that the 45 offset in the front and the 50 offset in back will fit perfectly.

Phew...

Why do I stress over this sh$t.

Yeah those are perfect and the most absolute aggressive you can go on a NB without any poke/extreme camber/fender rolling. They will look great.

I think you better go see a doctor now to make sure you don't have any ulcers.

Norcoastal, you need to go and adopt the GTL routine for a few months to stop this worrying. Not even Snooky will give you any poon with this much worry

FYI, the lower you go the camber gets aggressive and the tires will tuck. With widebody wheels on my car they stuck waaay out at stock ride height. After lowering the car, they tuck nicely. I rolled the rear fenders for safety, but it wasn't 100% necessary. Zero rubbing.

The narrow body cars can fit a fairly wide wheel. The stigma that wide wheels don't fit a nb needs to die.
