Would J Lo approve? Seems I like large rear ends, at least on my vehicles. I've recently added a 1953 Chevy 3100 to my garage.

I have always wanted a old truck like that....here in town every Friday night is a car show at the local Krogers. Several of the old pick ups show. Takes you back to a time when life was easy....or should I say less complicated. Nice Steve!

I bought it almost 2 weeks ago, put it on a trailer and drove it about 320 miles back to Maine. It's a 1953 Chevy 3100(1/2 ton), straight 6, 216.5 cubic inch engine,3 speed on the tree,4.11:1 rear end and the best news... the engine, clutch, generator, starter and radiator were all rebuilt by the PO who owned it for 4 years. He bought it from a man in Nebraska who owned it for 35 years. Always wanted this stye/era pickup, could be Ford or Chevy. It is unreal how much attention this truck draws. That's sweet! A friend of mine in college had a '46 Chevy truck. I always loved riding around in that thing.

 

Good thing you didn't buy it through Barrett Jackson or I'm sure it would've been 2-3x the price.
