If only I had known this before buying mine . . .. . J/K
It's weird when you work for a dealership, but a different dealer has the car you want. When it is a personal car, it is different than a dealer trade.

I paid 27 and a half grand for a 99 Cab, with matching hard top, 3 spoke steering wheel, and small shifter, Classic 2 sports 18 wheels. 45000 on the clock. 30 months ago. I would put yours no more than $30000. IMHO no matter what other mods are on the car. For you coupe drivers. When the top goes down, the price goes up by $5000.
I recently bought a 2000 doppelgänger of Hurdigudiman's car, right down to the wheels! They are getting scarce out here in the USA northeast, and prices seem to be going up, not down, for private party sales. Mine has a shade over 50,000 miles, which gave me more comfort than really low miles for a car of this vintage.
When i bought it, i had the LN IMS bearing put in (the removed stock double race bearing looked fine BTW), replaced the clutch and a few other things, so you may want to budget and price accordingly. I have never had more fun alone than when driving this incredible automobile.

Here in SoCal it seems like there's plenty of cars in the 60-80k range for under $20k. I still regret passing up on a '99 with 63k, new clutch/IMS for $17k. Ended up with an '02 with 80k miles for $19k, was able to get financing through my credit union. I'd say its a buyers market right now.

Update
Good to know, from what I can tell from photos it appears the car only has Bose, (car is not local to me.) The salesman is pulling the options codes so I should have them by tomorrow but I need to budge of their price given your estimate. Any tips for doing so, due to the miles they're holding it as a cherry and since they've serviced for most of its life, (Porsche dealer,) they seem pretty firm.
From the options list, it's pretty spartan which is ok. The dealer and I are about a grand apart so if I wanted the car I'm pretty sure I could push them.

Although I have no records with the car (only mine) since I do most of my easier DIY work. I have not upgraded/downgraded the IMS/RMS. The Porsche garage put in a recon gearbox (under my extended warranty bought during the sale) and told me the clutch was good. So the engine from my records is the original in every way. Did you have a single race bearing put in the car when they removed the double race one?
Given how reasonably priced these cars are, I factored the cost of the bearing (and associated peace of mind) before I put a deposit on the car. Glad I did, now, as the whole family is in love with the car (for good reason). I have a nice picture but no clue how to post it.

For the almost exact car you were asking about in your op.
This June I purchased a 1999 C2, 6 sp MT, forest green metallic (non-standard color), leather package, fully adjustable driver/passenger seats w/lumbar, rear wipers, headlight washer, and traction control. Not an impressive list of extras by any means. It only had 28,750 miles, in almost mint condition, and a clean PPI from an Indy. I purchased it from a used Cadillac dealer in Plano, TX for $23k out the door (includes TT&L).

I paid 33k for my 02 C4 cab w 20k miles on it fully loaded without ims change 2 yrs ago. More than I should have, I know, but it was exactly the color and interior I wanted and in excellent shape. That's worth the extra $$ to me.
