$11,100 is that a typo or what. No way in the memory of man should you be paying that amount for Preventative Maintenance. I am shell shocked here. What prompted you to go for IMS/RMS, AOS and 02 sensor/ What is the mileage and year of the car? How long have you had it? More details please. Until you respond I need a wall.

Sweet car -- agree with Hardback except as to basing any of the decision on the age of the car. You have a jewel and are doing the right thing to have it taken care of, accordingly. Find an indy whom you really trust and go from there. The dealer may be terrific, as well, and for now might be a good bet for you. Perhaps you can negotiate the price down a bit?

First , you're at a dealer so not surprising. Second, do they already have the transmission off and other parts taken apart already? If they started the work, you're probably at their mercy if you wanna get the AOS done which would be the best time. The difference in the cost of AOS(close to $400), not sure if you can find an Indy to do it for cheaper than that so it could be a wash.
The o2, you can always do yourself later or by any generic muffler shop.
I guess you got your first lesson to not bring these cars to a dealer if you don't have to.

getting the ims / rms done for $2299 out of the door from their best tech, one whom I feel very comfortable with. just trying to see how i can ask them to bring the price down on the aos and sensor... they were really nice when they took the car in, let me take an '13 boxster s convertible as a loaner. just want to ask without offending them...
Remember that they are in business to make money, and as much as they can get away with. Some folks prescribe to the notion that if you own a Porsche that you have more dollars than sense.
You have the right to question them and to show that you are educated and you can do so in a polite manner.

What exactly is the dealer replacing on the IMS portion? Is it just the IMS flange to resolve any leaks or are they actually putting in a new LNE retrofit bearing? It is often easy to misunderstand exactly what is being done especially if you are fairly new to Porsches when it comes to the IMS. I've read countless times when owners thought they were getting the IMS bearing replaced by the dealer when in fact it was merely just the IMS Flange that had been replaced.
Edit: Make sure to ask them for the old IMS bearing, RMS, AOS back. Also don't be surprised if the RMS leaks on you again so make sure you are clear on their warranty policies regarding parts and labor.

Correct, technically you're suppose to return your old bearing for the warranty on the LN bearing to be valid.
